Before carrying out any work to your house;
you must receive Leydon Lettings permission
|
We will never agree to you attending to the following: |
Gas and electric related work |
Disabling smoke and heat detectors |
Replacing locks or keys to doors |
Repainting your room yourself - where we agree we will always engage a professional painter to avoid our carpets ceilings and adjacent woodwork and furniture being paint splattered.
Where you paint a room without our permission and we consider this to be detrimental we will ask you to restore the room to it's previous condition immediately.

We may agree to you carrying out minor works : |
We might agree to you fitting a picture hook or mirror hook to a wall provided you repair and paint any small hole at the end of your tenancy. |
We might agree to you hanging your own curtains provided you carefully store and replace freshly ironed the original curtains prior to your departure. |
We are happy for you to replace consumables like light bulbs, vaccuum bags. |
| Disconnecting the internet at the data box in order to reboot the system. |
| Procuring additional keys provided you return free of charge any keys copied to Leydon Lettings |
| |
We do agree: |
| You call the emergency services before ringing Leydonlettings in an emergency. |
You can adjust heating controls to suit your required temperature providing other housemates do not object to it being either too hot or too cold. |
Fire extinguishers and blankets and other such equipment where provided should be used in an emergency |
Where smoke detectors are set off that you open windows and doors carefully to prevent wind damage smashing an open door closed. It is often helpful to swing a towel in a circular motion to disperse the smoke without the need to tamper with and fire alarm system. |
You turn off water stop cock following discovery of a leak to prevent water entering the tanks and pipes. |
| You turn on sink and basin water taps where this might drain any cylinder or tank to avoid worse flooding by reducing the pressure of water to the leak. |
