  1. OCTOBER DEADLINE
If you want to book your house for another year, observe the Priority period
As a group you will need to decide whether you want to remain in your house for the next academic year by mid October.  This is the priority period granted to current tenants to rebook.  If another group want your house you will be warned, but if you do not quickly reserve the house, then it will be let to any other waiting group of students for the next academic year - even before or during this priority period.  If you say no or are undecided whether to remain... - other than yes means no!
  2. Change of Group Size or House
If some members do not want to remain or you would like a bigger or smaller house with Leydon Lettings due to an alteration in group numbers, please click here for details of what to do.
  3. THE DECISION in writing
Email Us With Your Decision to avoid confusion.
One person from the group should email Leydon Lettings to confirm that the whole group would like to remain at the house.  At this stage please also confirm which bedrooms you will be occupying, particularly if you are swapping rooms. If you would like a different house, please ask for a viewing.
  4. CONTRACT
A new contract, and parental guarantor form is required.
Leydon Lettings will email a copy of the contract to all housemates.  This will include updated prices and any revisions to the contract.
  5. RE-BOOKING ADMIN FEE
You each pay an admin fee to re-book your house.
  6. ADVANCED RENT
Please  arrange to pay this as advised.
  7. Deposit
Presently none of our houses require a deposit.
If your house requires a deposit and you have already paid one for your current contract, this is simply carried over to the next year.
  8. DATE AND TIME
Organise a date and time to sign the contract.
Once you have read the contract, email Leydon Lettings with a date and time at which ALL members of the group are available to sign the contract.
  9. GUARANTOR FORM
Print out the online guarantor form or the form found in your emailed contract and ask your chosen guarantor (normally a parent or relative) to complete, sign and return it to Leydon Lettings before the date of the contract signing. You must return the original form (a copy is not acceptable).  Post to: Leydon Lettings, 49-50 Castle Street Canterbury, Kent, CT1 2PY.
  10. STANDING ORDER FORM
Print out, complete and sign your STANDING ORDER FORM documents.  This form must be completed and signed by the person paying your rent.  If this is a parent please make sure their details and signature are on the form. Please return the original (not a copy nor an email) to Leydon Lettings before the date of the contract signing.  Post to: Leydon Lettings, 49-50 Castle Street Canterbury, Kent, CT1 2PY.
If you wish to set up your own standing order, please ensure you do so well before the due date of your first payment (1st June).
  11. SIGNING THE CONTRACT
Leydon Lettings will come to your house on the appointed date to sign the contract with every member of the group or arrange for you to come to our office.
  12. BOOKING COMPLETE
Your house is then booked exclusively to your group for the following academic year.
