DEPOSIT

Currently 2011-2012 no deposits are required.

ADMINISTRATION FEE

From 2012-2013 there is a non-refundable administration fee of £250 payable upon reserving a house.  This is reduced to £175 for continuing students renewing their contract.  If you pay your full year's rent in advance one month before the start of the contract, we will refund 25% of your admin fee. Your admin fee includes student personal possessions insurance and the end of tenancy cleaning.

STUDENT ID

Proof of University status & student ID number is required.

PERSONAL DETAILS FORM

Please complete this form and return by e-mail.

STUDENT GUARANTOR FORM

Every student must provide a UK guarantor.  Leydon Lettings will email students a guarantor form to be forwarded to your guarantor (usually a parent or guardian).  Your guarantor completes, signs and returns a hard copy to Leydon Lettings.

STANDING ORDER FORM

You should print, complete and sign this form.  If a parent is paying your rent, you need to ask them to do this.  Please post the orginal hard copy to Leydon Lettings so that we make a copy and present the original to your bank on your behalf.  If you have already submited the form to your bank then mark the copy you send us with the word "COPY".  We will not submit a copy to your bank ensuring you do not erroneously duplicate the request.

STUDENT TENANCY AGREEMENT

Please download and read the contract.  Have a look at your chosen house to see which contract applies.  It will either be:

  • silver contract (summer discount applicable) 
  • gold contract (no summer discount)

Gold contracts generally relate to houses with exceptional features: e.g. proximity to uni.

N.B. This is a joint tenancy agreement whereby all tenants are jointly and individually responsible for payment of all rent and care of the house.   This means that should one tenant e.g. damages the TV we are entitled to ask you all to pay.  We are not limited to pursuing the person responsible for the damage.
