National Crime Agency (NCA)

  • National Crime Agency replaced SOCA (Serious organised Crime Agency) in 2013 requiring Letting agents to report suspicious activity.
  • Criminals distance themselves from crimes by buying property and paying rent with dishonest money.  Property transactions attract less attention than depositing and withdrawing large sums of money from banks.
  • Large cash transactions must be reported to NCA as suspicious.
