• Following the installation of a new boiler or electric wiring system a certificate is required by Building Control to confirm it is complete and thus safe.
• This certificate normally obviates the need for a landlord gas safety certificate for the first year.
• If two appliance expiry dates fall within the same two months, then exceptionally, the sooner expiry date may be extended to the second later expiry.  This is a one-off exceptional extension period designed to align two appliances to expire and be inspected simultaneously.
